New Delhi: There are 26 incidents of kidnapping by Naxalites and 195 instances from them targeting the installation of economic interests since 2018, MOS Home Nityaan and Rai told parliament on Wednesday.
The minister in a written reply to the question said that there were 9 incidents of kidnapping respectively in 2018 and 2019, and 6 in 2020.
Two examples have been reported until June 21 this year, both from Jharkhand.
The state also witnessed maximum kidnapping by left-wing extremists, contributing 17 of the 26 cases since 2018.
Separately, there were 195 examples of targeted economic interests.
This includes attacks on railroad properties, cellular towers, roads, bridges and schools.
Chhatisgarh witnessed as well as possible – 40 in 2018, 35 each in 2019 and 2020 and 18 has so far been accounting for 128 cases overall 195.
Farewell year-wise from the incident is- 60 in 2018, 64 in 2019, 47 In 2020 and 24 so far in 2021.
However there is no data from the total losses that occur due to the damage, or the number of people is arrested.
