Ludhiana: Ludhiana Central Jail police have hard drive to find all offenders jabbed.
Within a month, they’ve obtained 1,000 offenders over 45 decades old vaccinated.
The prison has approximately 3,300 inmates, such as convicts and undertrials.
Even the recently-arrested accused are kept at the borstal so they don’t come in touch with the offenders lodged because a very long moment.
Balkar Singh Bhullar, prison superintendent, stated,”We began the vaccination drive in accordance with the instructions of the authorities, so far 1,000 offenders are given the very first dose.
Most above age 45 years are insured and just a few offenders with medical issues have yet to be given the disease.
”“second week, offenders between age 18 and 45 years will likely be treated.
Each of the staffers and safety personnel are inoculated, bulk of these have obtained both doses,” additional Bhullar.
The offenders of borstal and women’s prison have been changed to some other prisons.
At women’s prison, offenders who test positive are accommodated, and whereas at the borstal that the recently-arrested ones are placed.
When these offenders finish the quarantine, they’re sent into a different cell where they’re stored for 14 additional days.
Thereafter, they’re analyzed for Covid-19.
When they test negative, they’re accommodated together with different offenders.
