1km Najafgarh-Dhansa Stretch takes the metro into an interior

New Delhi: The Najafgarh-Dhansa 1.2km bus holder from the Gray Line Delhi was inaugurated on Saturday, taking the train network to the outside of 390km and the number of stations to 286.
The event was carried out through video conferencing, with the Housing of the United States and Urban HardeeP affairs Singh Puri and Chairman of the Minister of Arvind Kejriwal as the main guest.
MINISTER OF SUNIOR PURI KAUSHAL KISHORE, Transport Minister Delhi Kailash Gahlot and West Delhi Parvesh Sahib Singh is also present on that occasion.
Passenger service on the section starts from 5pm on Saturday.
After marking the train in the section, Puri said that 1.2km stretching may be small from a network length point of view, but from the perspective to provide an increase in connectivity to the Delhi interior, it is an important milestone.
Puri also said that the country gradually recovered from Covid-19 pandemic, the requirements of the enhanced mobility of the masses in cities would play an important role in taking the economy ahead.
He said Delhi Metro passengers had reached 65 lakh per day in the pre-covid era, while the overall buildup on the Metro train throughout the country was 85 lakh.
He also asked the Delhi government to accelerate the delayed approval for Delhi Metro projects.
After marking the first train on the route, the main minister said, “This is a very pleasant moment for everyone outside Delhi, especially the population of Najafgarh.
Until now, the Delhi Metro route ends in the Delhi gate area in Najafgarh.
There are around 50 villages in the area where A large number of people come to Delhi in to work and this network is important to them.
“Kejriwal said that the route might be short, but it is very important.
“A large number of people came from Jhajjar, Haryana worked in Delhi.
They will also get many benefits from this service,” he said.
Gahlot Tweeted, “Congratulations Najafgarh! Today is very important to me for two reasons.
First as Minister of Transportation Delhi – expanding the Metro network in Delhi and the second as MLA Najafgarh – the new Metro station (Dhansa Bus Stand) is being added in Najafgarh constituency.
“Metro Station Dhansa is the first surface station of the urban train system to have the entire underground floor dedicated to parking.
Parking facilities will be integrated with the main station area and vehicle users will be able to park their two-wheeled cars and then proceed to the Concourse station directly using the elevator and escalator.
“Parking facilities will be useful for locals because regions side by side are very crowded with very limited space for parking,” said Delhi spokesman Metro Rail Corporation.
“The parking space has a ramps on two sides to get in and out of the vehicle.
There are two facilities in and out which connects the parking lot of both with the above surface and the platform below.”
