Lucknow: The high level of transmission Covid-19 continues on Thursday with 2,213 more people, including six pregnant women and 38 health care workers, tested infection on the last 24 hours.
It takes the number of active cases to more than 10,000 for the first time in eight months.
Of this number, only 92 patients received in hospitals with only three oxygen support at the Medical University of King George (KgMu), including a patient who was in an intensive care unit.
Inpatient levels are far less than in the first and second waves.
“The high transmission rate in the current wave but the severity is far less than in the first two waves.
This time, we observed that the presence of a virus is limited to the respiratory tract on the patient, producing symptoms such as light influenza,” said Kgmu’s medical supervisor Prof D Himanshu.
The health department official said that the maximum, 426, the case was reported from Aliganj, followed by Chinhat (343), Aliganj (263) and Indiranagar (250), among others.
“Most new patients do not show symptoms and in home insulation.
The response team that quickly visits the house of these patients randomly to check whether they follow isolation,” said Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Dr.

Among new cases, 648 has come into contact with positive patients and 277 symptoms similar to influenza and get themselves tested.
