Noida: The Noida government has directed the health department to get all the eligible populations of being fully vaccinated for the next nine days.
Officials say about 20% of the estimated population has not been given a second shot, which means that around 2.5 lakh people need to be fully investigated this month.
“During the recent review meeting, the Ministry of Health was asked to complete the second dose this month.
The department has given the first dose for more people than its target,” said Suhas Ly, the district judge.
Even if the department manages to vaccinate 100% of the targeted population, the historical milestone will only be on paper.
Because Noida exceeded its target for the first dose, there will be a number of people left to be given a second photo shoot even if the Ministry of Health covers the entire population registered.
For example, Noida has an estimate of a 10.5 lakh population in the 18-44 year old bracket.
But it has given the first dose to 13.6 lakh people in that category.
This means that after 10.5 the recipient of the lakh has been fully vaccinated, Noida will still have more than 3 lakh people left for the last shot.
Even in the 45-plus category, 3.3 lakh people have taken the first dose of the target of 3.05 lakh.
About 2.4 lakh people are fully vaccinated in this age bracket.
There are approximate populations of around 2 lakh in the category of senior citizens.
From them, 1.7 Lakh receivers have taken the first dose and 1.2 second shots.
The Ministry of Health has not been able to track more than 30,000 people despite several attempts.
Neeraj Regency immunization officer Tyagi told TII the department worked to reach the target at the time given.
However, he showed that there were many people who had not received the final certificate even after taking the second dose.
“We received such complaints at the Cowin Portal.
Many such complaints can be resolved online themselves and the recipient does not need to come to the Ministry of Health office.
What they need is just upload several documents online.
If they can’t do it, they can contact us, “Tyagi said.
According to Portal, Noida has provided more than 7,000 doses every month this month.
Of these, 1,550 is the first dose and the remaining 5,450 is the second shot.
Officials in Ghaziabad said they were trying to complete the first dose at the end of the year.
About 95% of the targeted population (18.1 lakh) in the age group 18-44 was vaccinated once, while 98% of 5.1 lakh people in the 45-plus category had taken the first shot.
The department has been able to record 69% of 3,2 lakh senior citizens.
