Ranchi: A woman who was identified as Gudia (28) and a 17-year-old little girl was arrested for selling a six-year-old girl for Rs 40,000, police said on Thursday.
Buyers, Baby Devi (42), a woman without children, are also arrested.
The girl was traced and recovered from Bengaluru.
The six-year-old girl belonged to a poor family and pleaded on the streets at Booty More in Ranchi City on July 17 when Gudia and the little girl kidnapped her.
The duo took the child to the Autorickshaw to Badgai where they bought clothes for him from the store.
They handed the child to the baby Devi said the girl was orphaned and lived with her grandmother.
They suggested Baby Devi to take him to Bengaluru.
Baby Devi comes from Bihar and has a hotel business in Bengaluru.
He has built a house in the Kishunpur area near roomy more than Ranchi, where he lived for the past few months because of the Kuncian.
During his visit, Gudia and the little girl knew that she did not have children and offered to give him a child worth 40,000.
Meanwhile, the mother of the six-year-old girl, Balo Devi, filed a complaint of missing people with the conscious police station.
Officer officers – responsible for the station, Inspector Venkatesh Kumar, started an investigation into this case and examined CCTV camera footage from Booty more areas and found the two women to take children.
He also found the autorickshaw and his driver and the shop where the girl’s clothing was bought from the recording.
Later, the shopkeeper gave the duo address to the police.
The police arrested Gudia and then coordinated with Bengaluru police to recover the girl from Baby Devi’s residence located in the area under the Valikanval police station on Tuesday night.
The police team took the girl to Ranchi on Thursday.
Venkatesh said, “We have registered a case for kidnapping and trafficking in the people who are accused of in connection with this case.”
