Mangaluru: Two people have been arrested by the police on Tuesday, in connection with Uppinangady’s violence that occurred last month, stating the sources of the police.
The arrested duo has been identified as Mohammed Hanif from Punjalkatte and Ibrahim Salil from Bantwal.
With this, the total number of arrests has reached 19, stating the sources of the police.
Some people were injured on December 14 that had turned into violence in the limit of the Uppinangady police station on December 14 last year when the popular front of India (PFI) organized protests who demanded the release of three people held at an effort to conduct investigations – murder.
The violence hurt several police personnel and PFI activists.
