Erode: Police in Perundurai arrested two citizens of Bangladesh on Monday on charges of conspiring to create communal clashes between Hindus and Muslims.
They have also launched a search for two other Bangladesh citizens in connection with this case.
The arrest was identified as N Mujam Mondal, 30, and N Ebadhul Ali, 22.
Police launched an investigation against four after receiving complaints from Mijamul Haji, 26, from Panikampalayam near Perlowurai on August 19.
Hajj is a consultant who supply construction workers to builders in the area.

Furthermore, the police arrested Mondal and Ali.
Four gathered and hatched the plan after the Pertundurai police arrested ten other Bangladesh citizens on July 28 because they remained without the applicable passport and visa.
“Following the arrest, fourth felt that Hindus did not allow Muslims, especially citizens of Bangladesh, to work in Perundurai,” said the inspector, added that the defendant planned to go to Bangladesh after inciting joint clashes.
The police ordered a duo under section 153a (with provocation with the intention to cause riots), (1) (A) (promoting hostility between different groups) of the Indian criminal code, read with part 14 of the Foreign Act, 1946, and Part 3 (3) ACT passport (entered India), 1920.
The defendant then lodged in the central prison of Coimbatore under the judicial resistance for 15 days.
