Chennai: Two clusters more than 20 cases of Covid-19 have been identified in Chennai in the past week.
The first is at Vardhammal Garden Street in Thiru VI Ka Nagar.
Of the 275 samples collected, 20 was tested positive for Coivid-19.
The second cluster is an apartment complex on the school model road in Sholinganallur.
Of the 398 samples collected, 23 was tested positively.
Six of them are children.
All of these cases were tested on August 7 and 9.
Twenty-one of the total patients (from both groups) was hospitalized and five to the Covid Care Center.
The rest is in house isolation.
According to The Greater Chennai Corporation, there are three index patients.
The source of infection has been identified as a temple function, a shop at Sowcarpet Hospital and VHS.
