Even though the amount is encouraging, Covaxin remains in a short supply.

“We want to make sure there is no struggle for recipients of Covaxin without the second dose, especially because it must be taken within six weeks,” he said.

The lack of vaccines has caused civil bodies such as Trichy and Coimbatore Corporations which conduct exclusive camps to manage the second dose of covaxin and covishield.
Trichy Corporation on Thursday held a separate camp in each of the four zones for people who need a second dose of covishield.
Officials, however, said that there were several challenges in implementing plans because people who demanded the first dose had approached the centers intended only for the second dose.
Vaccination camps in Trichy City are held in 12 locations 4 for those who are looking for a second dose of covishield.
For the first time, the Civic Agency tried a separate camping based on a dose, before, separate camps were held based on the age and type of vaccine.
This step has helped people wait for the second dose to get Jab in a much smaller queue.
In Coimbatore, although district administration announces the vaccination camp only at 8 am to avoid people who queue throughout the night, the delay in the distribution of tokens and men of political parties land and insist on distributing tokens.
On Thursday, people began gathering starting at 8:30 a.m.
in front of the Thippanur government school near PeriyaCenickaTalayam.
The token distribution began at around 10:30 a.m., but this time a social activist, Thippanur Kanagaraj, was trusted by the local residents taking the last.
