Ludhiana: The fire at a restaurant shop triggered an explosion on two LPG cylinders in another store on the Feroze Gandhi market at the early hours on Saturday.
Three restaurant shops on the market were killed in the incident.
The explosion caused panic in the area, reminding people about the recent explosion in the Ludhiana court complex.
The exact reason behind the fire is unknown.
The fire was first reported in the store and then the sound of the LPG cylinder explosion was heard.
When the incident happened, the shops were closed and someone from the market told the fire brigade.
It took time for firefighters to start working because the electrical connection was unbroken until it arrived at the place.
But the fire is controlled in one hour.
The high fire was first cared for in one of the restaurants around 2am on Saturday and gradually the fire reached side by side.
The fire department claimed that they had reached the place, but they could not spray water over the fire because the electricity supply has not flinched.
Meanwhile, the LPG cylinder is stored in a shop exploding one after another.
But once they start controlling fire, it’s controlled in just one hour.
The fire department claims that even though they have brought three fire tenders, two tenders of fire enough to extinguish the fire.
The Maninder Singh fire station officer said, “One after two other explosions occurred in the store and smoke swallowing side by side with two more stores.” He said when the incident happened at night, they controlled it without problems.
But in the case, it happens during the day, it can be proven difficult to reach here because of traffic parking and haphazards.
Meanwhile, panic grips the market in the early hours and in the morning when the market opened.
