MINNEAPOLIS: Crowds vandalized kills and buildings from companies in Minneapolis’ Uptown area later law enforcement officers on a US Marshals Service job force fatally shot a guy they had been attempting to detain for illegally owning a gun, police said Friday.
Police didn’t immediately release the title of the guy killed at the shooting Thursday day, but a girl who had been at a longstanding relationship with him recognized him Winston Boogie Smith Jr, a 32-year-old dad of three.
The girl, Shelly Hopkins, said Smith, who had been Black, was harassed by authorities because he was at high school.
