LAHORE: The two men were detained Wednesday due to their participation in gambling on Pakistan Super League (PSL) suits, Lahore police stated.
“We’ve detained two bookies involved with gambling on PSL games from Lahore’s Kot Lakhpat region,” local police officer Qamar Ahmed explained.
The bookies are recognized as Mirza Adil and Shakoor Baig.
Ahmed explained that both suspects held gambling on the PSL games being played at the UAE.
He said seven mobile phones along with the bet money were recovered .
He said more arrests of these bookies are anticipated from the light of this info gleaned in the detained suspects.
The sixth version of PSL is penalized at the UAE when it had been postponed because of Covid-19 in February last.
