Kathmandu: Two earthquakes, both of them measuring 4.7 large on the Richter scale, press Nepal on Monday, but there were no reports from immediate damage, senior officials from the national seismology research center.
The tremor was felt in Central Nepal on Monday afternoon and his footstick was explored in Panjphung area in Sindhupalchowk, 114 km east of Kathmandu.
“Nepal middle today (Monday) was hit by a twin earthquake.
The first tremor was felt at 1.46 afternoon while the second tremor also felt in the same place at 1.56 afternoon,” the official said.
“The two earthquakes measuring 4.7 magnitude on the Richter scale.
However, there are no direct reports of damage caused by vibration,” they said.
In April 2015, the earthquake that destroyed 7.8 – the magnitude shook Nepal, killing nearly 9,000 people and injuring almost 22,000 others.
It also damaged more than 8,00,000 homes and school buildings.
