Ghaziabad: Two members of the vehicle lifting gang have been arrested from the Sahibad area on Friday.
The police have recovered Rs 10,000 and several two-wheeled from the ownership of the duo.
According to the police, the Duo has been identified as Vijay and Rizwan, both the Ghaziabad population.
The defendant used to steal vehicles from Ghaziabad and Delhi-NCR and sell them at Throwaway prices, police said.
Nagendra Chaubey, Sho of Sahibabad The police station said that gang members were customary violators and had been involved in removal of vehicles over the past few years.
They will contact prospective buyers after stealing vehicles from residential areas and other public places.
“They will share a picture of a vehicle, attack an agreement with the buyer and sell it.
They sell two wheels with Rs 20,000 to Rs 50,000 according to the condition of the bike,” he said.
The defendant had been ordered under 379 (theft), 411 (dishonestly accepted the stolen property), 414 (helping stolen properties) from the IPC and under the relevant part of the arm.
