Jaipur: Two masked men on a bicycle Waylaid collection agent and robbed his bag containing Rs 10 lakh after firing shots in the air under the Sanganer region aware PS on Friday night.
Additional Police Commissioner (crime) Ajay Pal Lamba said the agent was driving in his car after raising money from liquor stores.
“The two defendants stopped his car and fled with a bag that had a lot of cash,” he said.
Additional DCP (South) Bharat Lal Meena said the bag was around Rs 9 to 10 lakh.
“The agent met the length of the tree.
The man stepped out of his vehicle to eliminate obstacles when the robber struck,” he said.
The police said the incident occurred in a place tucked away from the crowded road and flanked by trees on both sides.
When a shot was heard, the agent escaped for his life while the two accused rushing into the dark.
