Erode: Two hardware stores on the erosion-sathyamangalam highway were destroyed in a broken fire on Sunday morning.
The fire began at the store about 1 in the morning and spread to a police station, a police officer said.
“Paint, PVC pipe, door panels, electric wire, bathroom fittings, tiles and wood destroyed.
Fortunately, two adjacent hardware stores were not affected by the fire,” he said.
Have from the fire station which erosion fought for eight hours to put it out.
“The initial question revealed that the material worth Rs 2.5 Crore was destroyed.
Short circuits might cause fire,” the officer added.
The crunchy city police have registered the case.
