Pune: The branch of Pimpri Chinchwad’s crime on Monday arrested two men to kidnap the canteen manager in a private company Mahunune and demanded a monthly extortion of Rs 25,000 from the owner.
The suspects Rahul Kanhurkar (27) and his legs Akshay Khalate (24) also threatened the owner to leave the canteen business, otherwise they would kill the manager.
Pimpri Police Commissioner Chinchwad Krishna Prakash said, “The canteen owner immediately told the police.
The Assistant Commissioner of Police (crime) Prashant Amrornkar swung into the action and warned the crime branch team.

“Krishna Prakash said that the Girish Chamle of the Crime Branch sub-inspector brought Kanhurkar and Khalate to prisoners from Talegaon Chowk in Chakan, he said.
Duo on Monday has contacted the manager and called him at the company gate to discuss the canteen.

Krishna Prakash has appealed to companies in the Chakan Industry belt to advance and filed complaints about such people, who demanded extortion.
