New Delhi: A 18-year-old man arrested and a teenager was arrested for allegedly robbing senior residents in the area of ​​Jahangirpuri Northwest Delhi, police said on Friday.
One of them was identified as Ajay, they said.
On Thursday, an old man was robbed of Rs 1,050 by two people in Jahangirpuri, police said.
Shyam Lal (77) complainants told the police that when returning home from the BJRM hospital after taking medicine, two men suddenly arrested him from behind, one of them urged his neck and others searched his pocket.
They robbed Rs 1,050 and escaped, police said.
The incident video is viral on social media.
The video showed that the defendant attacked the elderly man from behind.
They can be seen choking on the old throat, clamping it and seizing it.
Records from several CCTV cameras in the area were analyzed, and the two defendants were identified.
Raids was carried out in the area, and they were arrested, said a senior police officer.
Duo recognizes their crime, he added.
The number of Rs 1,000 also recovered from them, police said.
