Ghaziabad: The GST Central Ghaziabad Department has arrested two people in connection with the issuance of fake GST invoices without the actual supply of goods.
According to officials, the invoice worth Rs 115 Crore is issued and in the process causes state losses to harm the state of Rs 37 Crore.
“Two Director of the Company M / S Shumstar Global Business Solutions Ltd.
Anil Kumar Dubey and Praveen Kumar Rai were arrested from Indirapuram and Delhi Residences, respectively,” said Alok Jha, Commissioner, GST, Ghaziabad.
“In our department’s special complaint, on Friday, raided nine places in Ghaziabad and elsewhere that included the Defendant’s office and residence.
Defendant as long as the question said that their company deals with iron electronic supplies and steel and the same registered on the GST portal and utilizing Input tax credit through no company “Jha added explained the mode of Jha Operandi said that the defendant through 21 fake companies published by the Invoice worth RS 115 Crore to other people only on paper and in the process caused the state losses to not have the condition of Rs 37 Crore.
“When setting crimes accused of being ordered based on Part 132 of CGST ACT, 2017 and produced before the CJM court in Meerut” added Jha, he explained that there was a term ‘tax credit input’ which had used the tax credit paid by people or business behind it in the chain Supply so that there is no double taxation but when it is done through a fake invoice that clearly means that the supply of goods that actually has not occurred in this fraud.
Previously in February, one person was arrested in a similar case of GST fraud in which the invoice worth RS 98 Crore was issued by the company owner and in the process that caused state losses of Rs 37 Crore.
Lately, many fake companies have been trapped by various anti-avoidance and tax investigation institutions that estimate tax implications for the 15,000 crore RS tones in the country.
