Udhagamandalam: The Two men were Detained for smuggling liquor to the Nilgiris out of Karnataka on Tuesday.
Authorities stated N Ravi, 28, along with S Saravana Senthi, 36, both taxpayers of Kandal region in Ooty, were held together with 38 bottles of spirits at Kakkanallah test place in Gudalur taluk.
“The bottles were concealed amidst veggies which they had been hauling from Mysuru,” a police officer said.
The Masinagudi authorities have registered a case and captured the spirits along with the truck.
