Ahmedabad: The nineteen society was brought based on micro containment on Tuesday, bringing the total number of active zones in the city to 182.
One of the new detention zones were on the old campus consisting of two houses, 219 and 220 in the H with 10 residents.
The Civic body also raised the sidewalk of 14 people consisting of 91 houses with 348 residents.
Five of these people are located in the West AMC zone area such as satellite, Sarkhej and Jodhpur.
Shivalik heritage in Bodakdev and Sudarshan Prime In Sola also declared free of sidewalks.
Among the newly added micro detention zones, six are located in Nicol which falls in the East Zone while four housing communities are located in the west zone in areas such as Navrangpura, Chandkheda and Ambawadi.
Three people come from the North West Zone region such as Vastrapur, Sola and Thaltej.
The newly added micro detention zone included 111 houses with 476 residents.
The biggest micro detention zone in terms of the population is 20 houses with 98 residents in Block B in Divyajivan elegance in Nicol.
The second largest micro detention zone is 10 houses with 48 residents at the GHB Society in Khokhra.
A AMC official said that the number of micro detention zones was formerly from the north western zone a week ago, but the current trend showed that most of the new detention zones were located in the east zone and west of Civic’s body.
“We have increased supervision in this zone.
We also conduct routine checks to ensure residents cover and observe social blasphemy norms,” the official said.
