New Delhi: Two Indians are among the three people who were killed in Abu Dhabi on Monday after three fuel tankers exploded in industrial areas near the international airport.
The suspected explosion was caused by a drone attack, the United Arab Emirates authorities said.
A small fire also broke in the construction area at the international airport.
“Initial investigations found a part of a small plane that might be a drone on both sites that could cause explosions and fires,” police said in a statement to the WAM state news agency.
Pakistan’s national was also killed in an explosion that took place at the National Oil Company Facility Abu Dhabi.
The other six were also injured in an industrial area attack, Musafah, located about 20 km from the Presidential Palace and about 10 km from the US Embassy and Saudi.
Houthi announced ‘military operations’ in the Houthi movement which was aligned Iran Ueyemen had claimed responsibility for the attack.
Military spokesman Houthi Yemeni movement, who fought against a military coalition led by Saudi Arabia and included UAE, said the group launched military operations “deep in the UAE” and will announce details in the coming hours.

The rebels then announced that they had launched ‘military operations’ in the UAE.
The pro-coalition forces supported by the UAE recently joined against Houthi in Yemen’s energy-producing areas in Shabwa and Marib.
UAE mostly scaled their military presence in Yemen in 2019 but continued to hold fast through Yemen forcing it armed and trained.
Houthi has repeatedly launched a cross-border and drone missile attack in Saudi Arabia and in the past threatening to attack the UAE.
