Pune: Two men were killed and two others were injured in a shootout between rival gangs in the Uruli Kanchan area in Pune Maharashtra District on Friday, police said.
According to the police, the incident occurred in Uruli Kanchan Chowk at around 2:30 p.m., when one of the men who died, identified as Santosh Jagtap, came out of the restaurant with two aides “four people fired a shot at Jagtap.

The rival gang member took one of the wounded men to the nearest hospital, where he was declared dead, and Jagtap was also declared dead, the official said.
Two jagtap helpers, who were injured in a shoot, were undergoing treatment, he added.
According to the police, the shootout was the result of several old hostilities between the two gangs.
Jagtap, a criminal on a record, was the defendant in the murder that took place in Rahu Village in Daund Tehsil.
