2 killed, 3 injured in clashes between groups in Adilabad

Hyderabad: Two people died and three others were injured after two groups of the same community, belonging to the same political party, clashed during the religious procession in Gundala in the Adilabad district on Wednesday night.
Two factions – owned by Sarpanch and local MPTC each – have a fight with each other over the use of microphones during the procession.
Group members attack each other with sticks and stones thrown.
High tensions apply in the village after clashes.
Inspector General Police Y Nagi Reddy told TII, “the attack on people who used the stick caused the death of two people.
The two groups belonged to the same community.” Additional troops shift to the village at the end of Wednesday night and bring the situation under control.
Both Sarpana and MPTC belong to the same party and allegedly have political differences.
Some suspects were detained by the police to be questioned.
