Bokaro: Two people were killed and seven were injured after three vehicles – a truck loaded with gas cylinders, tractors and automatic pedicab collided near Khutri Polytechnic at Jainmaod-Phusro Road in Bokaro around midnight.
The tractor is parked on the roadside when the truck crashes from behind.
Auto behind the truck also lost balance and collided with him.
The victims were identified as Prahlad Singh (45), Labor and Kalachand Mahli (43).
After the incident, the locals, mostly known by the victims, blocking the road for several hours demanding compensation and work to dependents.
The truck went from Baldih to Girech.
Officers were responsible for the police station Jaridih, Mohammad Rustam and the Block Development Officer, Ujjand Soren, reached a place to persuade people to end the blockade.
“The victims were tractor drivers and conductors,” Rustam said.
He added that among the injured, four were women who returned home after attending a function.
A local resident said the tractor was parked on the side of the road with flat tires.
The victim was on the tractor when the truck hit him.
There is a traffic jam until Thursday morning.
