Gurgaon: Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) has waved the 8.19 crore RS tender for 2,100m road projects on the edge of the Sector 79-79B and Naurangpur.
The road will facilitate the movement of heavy vehicles in the area and make commuters easier for the 79-79B sector population.
The road will begin to approach the pool close to Aravaleshwar Mahadev’s temple and ends near the Jai Bharti public school, according to GMDA officials.
This project includes a 1,400m long roadside drain, officials said.
“Demarcation of land and ownership documents have been received.
It will take six months to complete the work,” said Major Shaveta Sharma, Executive Engineer, Infra I, GMDA.
At present, GMDA is looking for an online offer for the project through e-tender.
Defective obligations and the project maintenance period are four years.
There is another way in the area of Rampura Chowk to Naurangpur.
“But this road is owned by the Department of Public Works and Development (PWD) and only 5.5 meters wide..
New alignment will have a width of 84 meters,” Sharma said.
GMDA has planned a project in line with the demands of the population and developers in the area, Sharma said.
According to residents and developers of Naurangpur and Sector 79-79B, Jalan PWD is not sturdy enough for heavy vehicles that pass through the area.
“It’s very wavy and difficult to use.
One option is to change the existing path but we have acquired land for new roads.
We decided there was no point in compromise with the width of the road.
Our goal is to provide maximum.
Advantages for commuter,” said Sharma.
According to GMDA officials, this project includes the installation of road safety devices such as road buttons, solar cat eyes, metal delineaters, flexible springs markers, and flexible spring posts.
