Bengaluru: Two men who tried to smuggle the gold pasta worth more than Rs 41.6 lakh nabbed at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA).
The suspect from Delhi each brought more than 430 grams of gold in their rectum.
Sumber Kia said the smuggling effort took place on Tuesday afternoon when the Customs Team served at the terminal as flight FLYDubai FZ 405 arrived from Dubai to Bengaluru.
Officials involved in profiling passengers noticed two mid-30s men walked in a suspicious manner.
They were intercepted and asked during their visit to Dubai but they gave a non-conclusive reply.
During further questions, the duo claimed to smuggle gold.
They carry 430 grams and 436 grams of gold pasta worth Rs 20.6 lakh and Rs 21 Lakh, respectively.
They have been ordered to embezzle customs.
