Hyderabad: Two CPI members who were banned (Maois) surrendered before the police in Bhadradri District Kothagudem in Telangana.
Both Maois who came from the state of Chhattisgarh and Cherla Los members (local organizational forces) changed before Bhadradri Kothagudem District of Police Inspector Sunil Dutt on Saturday, police said.
Over the past six years, the duo aged 25 and 34, worked for the CPI Party (Maois) which was banned, they said they added at first they worked as a militia member and for the past three years they had worked as a member of Cherla Los in Telangana.
According to the police, Ultras realized that the State Committee of Telangana (Maoist Party) harassed them and wanted to live a better life by returning to the mainstream.
“It has been studied that Maoists regularly harassed cadres of women and tribal children forcefully guard them at the party.
Many Maoist cadres are ready to leave the party, but senior leaders threaten them and forcefully bring them from villages that do not allow them to give up, “the official said.
The police appealed to all members in and the militia to put their arms and live a normal life.
