2 Medical Students of Baroda sank in Mahi

Vadodara: Two students from College Medical Baroda drowned on the Mahisagar River near Rasulpur in Savli Taluka from the Vadodara district on Saturday.
Students are group members who go for a picnic there.
According to sources, a group of second year MBBS students have gone to Rasulpur which is a popular site for events and picnics among Vadodara residents.
The group enters the river for bathing.
However, a heavy current on the river dragged four students including Siddhi Shah who had died (20) and Amogh Goel (20).
While two students managed to hold on to rock and return to safety, Shah and Goel sank in depth depression on the river.
Other members of the group were too rushed out of the river and raised alarms to get help.
Vikrilagers rushed to the place and took out Shah and Goel from the river though after several delays because they could not be found immediately.
The students called for ambulances and even conducted CPR on Shah and Goel.
Both students, in critical condition, rushed to the SSG hospital in the city where college was installed.
The doctors in the hospital cannot save them apart from all efforts.
Two other students who have begun to sink along with Shah and Gooel are stable.
The source said that the entire group was in a state of surprise and given a paradise by the teacher on campus.
The source said that depression on the site is known.
In the past, similar incidents had been reported there.
