Kochi: In the tragic incident, two women, both models are famous in their twenties, died after their car crashed into a roadside tree after hitting a bicycle near Chackaraparambu here at around 1:30 a.m.
on Monday.
Two men who accompanied them were injured.
The deceased was identified as Princess ANSI (25) Abdul Kabeer M from Alamcode in Thiruvananthapuram and Anjana Shajan (26) from Thrissur.
Ansi recently won the Miss South India-2021 contest and previously won the title Miss Kerala too.
Anjana is the first runner-up in the Miss Kerala contest in 2019.
Wounded people are in care at the hospital ICU here.
The police have registered cases under Section 270 (rash driving) and 304-A (causing death from negligence) IPC.
The body has been submitted to relatives after autopsy.
The police said they were traveling to Thrissur after attending the event at Fort Kochi.
The car seems to have turned to avoid hitting the bike.
