Bhubaneswar: Even before anger for the alleged rape of a five-year-old girl in Puri can die, two incidents of sexual violence in children who appeared in the city on Tuesday.
Three cases, involving sexual harassment in children, has raised serious concerns about children’s safety.
In one of the cases, the police arrested a man for allegedly raping his two-year-old daughter, and on the other hand a man had been arrested for persecuting his five-year-old neighbor.
The police arrested the 24-year-old man after receiving complaints from his wife.
The woman alleged that her husband suffered sexual abuse of their own child at home.
The condition of the child was stable, police said.
Learned that the defendant, who worked in the laundry in the Cuttack, was arrested in 2020 for alleged trying to kill his wife for Mahar.
In the second incident, the police arrested Subasish Tripathy (28) in connection with the persecution of five neighbors.
Tripathy called him and allegedly trying to rape him, police said, quoted the child’s parents.
“We agreed to the top priority for both cases and immediately arrested the defendant.
They have been sent to Hakodi detention after being produced in court.
Chargesheets will be submitted in both cases within 20 days,” said Puri (SP) supervisor, Kanwar Vishal Singh, said.
The Puri police already had their duty in their efforts to arrest Mahesh Mohanty (36), an auto driver of a pedicab, who was on his way after raping a five-year-old girl on Sunday.
