Hyderabad: When the inflow continues to increase on Friday, the officials of the hyderabad metropolitan water supply and the Softest Board (HMWS & SB), open two more water gates of the Himayatgar reservoir.
With this, seven of the seventeen reservoir gates were lifted in a span of three days.
To review the inflows in the twin reservoir due to continuous rain from July 20, on Friday, City Administration & City Development (MA & UD) Main Secretary, Arvind Kumar, along with the Implementing Director of HMWS & SB, M Kishore Funds Visited Twin Reservoir ( Osmansagar and Himayatta).
The water council officials who ensure this reservoir level, we carry the flood water by opening the water gate gradually.
“Some gates also plan to open, but based on the current to the reservoir,” according to official HMWS & SB officials to Ti.
On Friday morning, the influence in Himayatgar began at 1,400 cusecs and still continued and in Osmansagar, the inflow of 400 cusecs arrived.
The water level recorded in Himayattagar is 1762 feet against FTL, 1763 feet.
Locals that pay attention to the twin reservoir water gate, opened and faced to visit the body of the water, but officials limited entries and close the reservoir gate, as soon as the water door opened.
Meanwhile, officials HMWS & SB plan to draw additional water from Osmansagar and HimayatSagar reservoir, after the water level rises.
At present, the water board is drawing a total of 14 million gallons of water from the twin reservoir, to meet the demand for the city of Hyderabad.
