2 PMCH buildings were destroyed to open the way for expansion

Patna: Two old buildings Patna Medical College and Hospital (PMCH) – Narapura Ward and Orphan Ward – were destroyed on Saturday.
The demolition of other buildings housing department of the skin is also ongoing.
The demolition work which is currently being carried out at PMCH is part of the Mega expansion plan to make this a government-medical hospital in the state as a world-class institution.

“The cottage has been emptied and the work of demolition is likely to begin at the end of this month,” he added.
Renovation work will be done in phase.
According to the approved plan, the project to develop a hospital from 2,000 to 5,500 existing beds with advanced facilities will require RS 5,540 crore expenses.
“Another important structure scheduled for demolition is the GNM school.
There is a proposal to shift the GNM school to be outside the campus for facilitating demolition work.
All new structures will become G + 7 buildings,” Dr.
Thakur said.
At an average, 3,000 people, including patients and health workers, visiting hospitals per day.
This number tends to improve manifold after hospital expansion in about five years.
To overcome the problem of traffic congestion, the state government has planned construction of roads that are elevated from Gandhi Maidan to Nit Mor in Ashok Rajpath.
