Jaipur: Covid testing has swimming in the state with more than 2 lakh samples tested in the last seven days an average of 28,000 tests every day.
The state is at the bottom in this country with the lowest covid test per million populations.
The Ministry of Health, however, said that because the level of participants in the country has fallen significantly, testing is reduced.
“We have a level of participants even less than 0.08%, while in several other states higher than 10%,” said Siddharth Mahajan, Secretary (Health).
Over the past few weeks, the number of tests also dropped due to a decrease in infection.
From July 7-13, the number of tests conducted in the state was 2.6 lakh, which fell further to 2.2 lakh next week.
In the past seven days, the number of tests conducted was 2.01 lakh.
The number of samples tested positive for Covid also fell, namely 351 (July 7-13), 228 (July 14-20), 160 (July 21-27) and140 (from 28 July to 3 August).
The level of participation in the last seven days remained at 0.06%, which has dropped significantly.
