Ghaziabad: A 26-year-old young man allegedly shot dead by two attackers who was transmitted by a bicycle in Loni on Wednesday.
According to the police, the deceased was identified as Dharmendra Kumar, a resident of Colony Jawahar Nagar in Loni.
Atul Sonkar, Circle Officer (Loni), said that crime took place around 7pm on Wednesday, when Kumar sat outside his shop.
Bhanu, the late nephew, said that Chotu, Pramod’s son, who worked as an accountant at the store, came with a bicycle along with his friend Aakash.
“Uncle I have asked Aakash when he bought a new bike but Aakash did not answer.
He repeated the question and after that Aakash had shot a bullet in my uncle’s throat,” he said.
Bhanu added that when he tried to catch Aakash and he fired it too.
“But fortunately, I avoided and Aakash escaped with Chotu on a bicycle.
We immediately took my uncle to the GTB Hospital in Delhi for medical attention but he died during treatment,” he said.
Circle officers said based on complaints, a FIR was submitted against Chotu and Aakash under the 302 (murder) of the IPC.
“We have formed a team to arrest the defendant and the reason behind the murder will be cleaned after that,” he added.
