PATNA: 2 veteran politicians, 1 from JD(U) and another from CPM, were attacked in two separate incidents on Sunday and Saturday, respectively.
Authorities have promised that both episodes seem to be instances of grudge attack.
In the first episode, Mohammad Arshad Hussain, 56, the state secretary of JD(U)’s tiniest cell, has been shot by unidentified individuals on Mainpura Road in western Patna approximately 11am on Sunday.
Authorities said that he had been on a way home after the incident happened.
Hussain, who received bullet injuries to his torso, arms, and stomach, is undergoing treatment in a private hospital and has been said to be more serious.
Ajeet Kumar Saha, SHO of Danapur police station, said Hussain and his child had an FIR filed against them within an instance of people scuffle and the duo had registered a counter case against the complainants.
He said Sunday’s episode was likely the fallout of this.
In the next scenario, CPM’s country legislature celebration manhood and Bibhutipur MLA, Ajay Kumar, endured an assault on him in the party office on Saturday.
While he escaped unhurt, his bodyguard was hurt.
Manavjit Singh Dhillon, Samastipur SPsaid they’ve lodged an FIR.
“We detained one Rahul Yadav plus only one Mohammad Monazir on Sunday.
Preliminary probes reveal the episode is a fallout of a road rage event, where the two parties have been involved a couple of days back,” he explained.
