Gurgaon: Palwal Police arrested two people on Wednesday for allegedly conducting illegal sex determination tests.
A team was established by the Ministry of Health and Bait Customers follow Tip-off.
Bait customers went to meet with the defendant, identified as Wisnu and Harkrishan, on December 14 to conduct illegal gender tests.
The duo attacked an agreement with bait customers for Rs 38,000 and took it to Khair Aligarh where they helped them examine the sex of the baby.
At that time, the police failed to arrest them in place.
However, the police continued to chase them and arrested the duo in the police block Rahimpur on Jalan Palwal-Aligarh and recorded them under PCPNDT (pre-conception and pre-Christmas diagnostic techniques) acting at the City Police Station.
Around RS 20,000 cash was restored from ownership of Wisnu and Rs 10,000 from Harkrishan.
The police said they were further investigating to find out the number of women who had conducted a gender determination test carried out by both accused.
