2 was found dead in a chemical unit, leaked gas was suspected

Vadodara: Two chemical company workers at Nandesari GIDC were found dead in a suspicious state in the company’s factory in early Sunday.
Police suspect that both – Bhavesh Shah (45) and 24-year-old Alpesh Padhyar – may have died due to gas leaks.
When the incident occurred around 14 workers present at the factory, a police officer said.
Apart from the two victims no one else suffered medical complications due to suspected gas leakage, he added.
Police said that Shah and Padhyar were found unconsciously around 3.18 in the morning at the factory located on GIDC plantations in Nandesari.
The two workers were taken to a private hospital in Chhani, but the doctors claimed they were dead before entering.
“We are waiting for a postmortem report to find out the right cause of death.
But it is suspected that they may have breathed incidentally toxic gases,” said a police officer.
Then, during the day, scientific experts also visit the factory and do zero inspections on the cause of death.
Incidental death cases have been registered at the Nandesari police station.
“We are investigating it as an accidental death.
Around a dozen other workers also work at the factory during the same time.
We will also question it as apart from the two deceased, no one else complains of health problems,” said a police officer.
The initial probe revealed that Shah, Nandesari residents, worked in the company as a plant operator for the past three years.
Padhyar, who lives in Anklav in Anand District in a neighboring country, has joined the company about two weeks ago as contract workers.
