Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (UP-ATS) captured Noor Nature and Mohammad Jameel in connection with facilitating the illegal entry of Bangladesh and Rohingya to India and obtaining Indian passports they made using false Hindu identity and further sent them abroad.
The two defendants were Myanmar’s native and arrested from West Bengal on Sunday.
Inspector General of Police, ATS, Gajendra Kumar Goswamy, said that the duo was arrested on the basis of the other four interrogations – Mithun Mandal, his colleagues Shaon Ahmed, Mominur Islam and Mahendi Hasan – who were arrested on October 26.
ATS officials said that the Duo had sent a number of citizens of Bangladesh and Rohingya to various countries with Indian identity.
“They were sent to countries in the Middle East, South Africa and Congo,” said an official official to the probe.
Then, the accused of being arrested was used to squeeze them and extract money that threatened them to divulge their true identity to the authorities, the officer said.
