Coimbatore: Special Court handling cases under narcotics and psychotropic substances, 1985 and the Essential Commodity Act, 1955, on Thursday sentenced two sons to 40 years in prison for smuggling of 500kg marijuana to tirupur in an ambulance inside Ambulance in October 2019.
Narcotics Intelligence Bureau – CID (NIB-CID) Police have captured M Arkumar, 23 and Karuppasamy, 27, native to Udumalpet, to smuggle illness.
Karuhpasamy owned by an ambulance and Arangumar is the driver.
The Duo told the police that Gowtham, Santhoshkumar and Sheik Dawood asked them to smuggle Ganja.Judge n Logeswaran, who said the verdict on Thursday, was sentenced by Arunkumar and Karuspasamy to 20 years to trade overders.
The sentence will go together.
Three other people were released as prosecution failed to prove their role.
