Nagpur / Wardha: Exactly two years after Ankita Pisoudde surrendered to him burns after the set burning in public by the Vikesh stalker aka Vicky Nagrery, the Hinganghat session court in the Wardha District on Wednesday found him guilty of killing 24-year-old college teachers.
At the request of the Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Ujjwal Nikam, an additional session assessing Rahul Bhagwat suspended pronounced quantum sentences until Thursday.
The defendant can be either paid by the hangers or get a life term.
Nikam was appointed to submit a case with the Maharashtra government, after the brutal murder triggered national anger.
On February 3, 2020, Pisoudde’s image sat on the road in a half-burning condition after he was doused with kerosene and was burned by Nagrly, had gone a virus on social media.
After his death on February 10, 2020, Wardha Regency was observed bandh with local residents, including women and students performing protests, demanding a death sentence for Nagrly, a man who was married to a child.
After anger, Minister of Uddhav Thackeray convinced the family of the 24-year-old victim hearing a quick lane by pointing to Nikam.
Then the Minister of Home Anil Deshmukh has convinced work to one member of his family.
The government has sent the National Director of Burns Center Sunil Keswani Navi Mumbai to Orange City Hospital here, where he was treated after experiencing 40% of burns, to oversee his treatment.
On Wednesday, Nikam was told the judge that the defendant was needed to be heard on the quantum sentence after he was found guilty.
“He was surprised after being found guilty and not in a position to argue why he did not have to be given a maximum penalty on the same day.
Prosecutors also require time for the proof of the file to reveal a state of extinguishing and the demand sentence on the basis, “Nikam Toi said.
He was also sought after by the defendant until Thursday so he could send his circumstances.
“The prosecutor will balance between aggravation and relieve before advocating the right sentence,” Nikam said, adding that the judge had received his shipment.
Expressing disappointment over the court’s decision, this Nagrrale advisor Bhupendra Sone said that he would approach the Nagpur of the Bombay High Court bench to ensure justice for his clients.
“There is no direct evidence that connects my clients with evil.
There are even incompatibility forensic reports, and no thumbs of the impression found on bottles with kerosene poured at the victim.
” Satisfied with the court ruling, Ankita’s father Arun Pisoudde hopes that Nagrly will be given maximum penalty.
On Wednesday, the entire court has turned into a fortress as a police officer approaching the road to anticipate the public to enter the court to listen to the judge’s verdict.
Many viewers have even gathered in front of the court.

Ankita suffers from class-III burns on the scalp, face, right extremity, left hand, upper back, neck and eyes along with severe inhalation injury, and dies from “septicemia shock” after being sick for a week.
Police Deputy Inspector Trupti Jadhav completed an inquiry in just 19 days and submitted 426-page charges in court on February 28, 2020.
The prosecution stated that the defendant was visited by Ankita, a botanical teacher, when he was on his way to study at a local college.
He poured kerosene on him as soon as he got off the bus and set him on fire after he allegedly rejected his down payment, according to the prosecution.
He was previously allegedly threatening to kill him if he did not accept his proposal to get married.
Both of them were friends for about a few years, until he disconnected with him because of his progress.
When Ankita exhaled her last breath and her body was brought back to her village, the locals had thrown stones in the ambulance, thus creating tensions in the region before the police intervened, according to prosecution.
