Coimbasore: The thief opened a house in the quarter-College of technology staff on Jalan Thagam and looted 20 sovereigned gold ornaments from the house.
Ramesh, 44, worked as a professor in the Mechanical Engineering Department in the Technology Government on Jalan Thagam here for the past 15 years.
He has stayed in the quarter staff at the campus place.
On September 9, he locked his house and went to the scramber together with his family to attend the family function.
His housemaid came to the house on Monday night and found the back door broken and told him to the professor who told the police station police.tnn
