Kalaburagi: Kalyana Karnataka Member Pratyeka Rajya Horata Samiti on Monday accused the state government by mastering motorized treatment to the Kalyana Karnataka area.
The police arrested 20 members of Samiti when they tried to lift separate state flags in Sardar Vallabhai Patel Circle here.
After arresting the agitators near the District Court, the police kept it on the Gulbarga University campus until late afternoon and “released” later.
President Samiti M S Patil Naribol said the government in a row, including BJP, JD (s) and Congress, had betrayed the Kalyana Karnataka region.
“The Union Government has taken many projects from the region, and this includes the proposed IIT in Raichur and AIIM proposed in Kalaburagi,” he thought.
“If the same attitude continues towards the region, we will begin agitation for a separate engine for Kalyana Karnataka,” he said.
