KABUL: At least 20 civilians were killed and 34 others had been injured in a string of violent strikes in five states of Afghanistan from the course of 24 hours, also underlining the dilapidated security scenario in the nation since the US withdraws its troops.
According to TOLO News, among those events involved is that a magnetic IED blast on Saturday targeting a bus taking lecturers and workers of a college at Parwan province.
Maiwand Farooq Nijrabi, a medication faculty lecturer in the college, was one of those killed in the episode and three of his coworkers.
17 more people were reportedly hurt in the event.
“The daily violence protects our childhood, religious scholars as well as soldiers.
If it continues, we’ll see a dangerous emergency,” explained Moeen Mirzada, Nijrabi’s comparative.
On Sunday, two civilians were killed and yet another was injured in an explosion at Shirzad district in Nangarhar province.
Meanwhile, at least 10 people were killed and 15 others suffered injuries in a mortar shelling of a home in Afghanistan’s northeastern province of Kapisa.
The home was hosting a marriage service once the mortar shell struck.
Kapisa authorities maintained that the Taliban had escaped the mortar, but the terror team diminished the promise, reported TOLO News.
Moreover, a college lecturer was murdered in Farah and also a government worker and his driver have been murdered in Kabul, since the nation witnessed strikes in a number of parts within a day.
Based on reports from other resources, 12 security force members were killed and six were injured in clashes at Helmand, Herat, Badghis and Paktia provinces.
“The growth in violence would challenge our strategy to peace and will reevaluate how to peace,” said Mir Haidar Afzali, an MP out of Kapisa.
“Both sides are making attempts to curb one another and emphasize their military capability so they can get a larger benefit in the approaching peace summits,” said Zahir Masroor, an MP in Balkh.

Afghanistan has witnessed a spike at the episodes of violence in recent weeks, because the beginning of the US drawdown in Afghanistan.
