Hyderabad: Twenty Maoist militia members, including several minors, surrendered before Bhadradri-Kothagudem police on Wednesday.
Militia members who were delivered from villages at the Telangana-Chhattisgarh border.
The police said that the militia had claimed that they surrendered since their handlers in the CPI Party (Maois) accused to force them to attend training.
In recent months, more than 200 members of the Maoist CPI militia surrendered, quoting their disagreement with the ideology followed by Maois.
Members who surrendered to the police that they had joined the party a year ago.
