Chennai: At least 20 police officers, including IPS G Venkatraman officers, V Balakrishnan and R Sudhakar will be provided with a presidential medal for leading services and meritorious in uniformed services in Tamil Nadu.
The Additional Director General of the Police (ADGP) Venkataran’s head office led the cyber crime unit which was newly made from the country and formed a virtual world crime police station in each district headquarters.
Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sudhakar, after taking over as head of the West Zone, accelerated investigations in the case of Kodanad Heist-cum-Murder and assisted in arresting the former State Minister of Aiaadmk Rajenthra Bhalaji, who had fled more than a month.
Medals were given during the Republican Day celebration and independence day which recognized the overall work.

Deputy Supervises of Extra Police (ADDL DCP) of the Cell Traffic Planning of Chennai V Elangovan, ADDL SP from NIBCID A Thomas Prabhakar, Coimbatore City Intelligence Assistant Wing Police Commissioner S Murugel, Deputy Police Supervisor CB-CID Organized Crime Unit in Coimbatore M Muralithan, Central Crime Branch Inspector K Murugesan will be praised.
The other chosen for honor is the ‘Q’ branch of Inspector K Anna Durai, Inspector DVAC Cuddalore D Shanmugam, Sub-Inspector of Police Unit (SI) G Sivaganan, Special Intelligence Unit from Trichy R Ganesan, SB-Cid SI Head Office R Pasupathi .
