Madurai: A 20-year-old pregnant woman gave up on Covid-19 on Saturday at the Rajaji government hospital in Madurai.
The woman became a 34 week pregnancy.
Grh Dean Dr.
A Rathinavel told Ti that the woman was referred to the hospital from the Virudhunagar Medical College Hospital on November 2 with severe Covid-19 symptoms.
The hospital source said patients were treated with lung involvement and 84% saturation level.
Despite the management and treatment of multi-disciplines with injection of remedies, antibiotics and steroids, patients died on Saturday afternoon after a four-day battle.
The cause of the death of the woman is an acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), severe clinical covid-19 pneumonia and respiratory failure.
The woman was vaccinated in part.
Data from GRH shows that in August and September, there was no Covid-19 death at all among patients who were fully vaccinated for Covid-19.
The district has reported 14 Covid-19 deaths in October and November so far, while 693 new cases have been reported in the same period.
Almost all Covid-19 deaths have recently only from those who have comorbid conditions or those aged over 70-80 years.
“With rain, more cases of fever and crowding have recently because of the Diwali festival, there is a need to be aware of the possibility of increasing in the case of Post Diwali.
The public must work together in following all safety steps because school has also been reopened,” said an official health.
“We still get Covid-19 cases but the symptoms are not so significant and even the level of oxygen saturation is not too much.
The public needs to be realized that the war against Covid-19 has not ended.
They must be fully vaccinated as soon as possible.
Even though the pressure is repeated by health professionals , Many are still hesitant or ignore the call to follow the safety steps and get vaccinations.
This needs to change, “said a senior doctor.
