Yavatmal: At least 200 hectares of cultivation land have been damaged because the rainfall is unrelenting and flooding in Umarhed Taluka from Yavatmal Maharashtra district in the last three days, an official said on Thursday.
Some villages and agriculture at Umarhedhed Taluka were flooded in heavy rain which destroyed the area in the last three days, the official said.
Plants in 200 hectares of land have been washed away in Umarchhed, while 180 hectares of cultivating land are damaged in Yavatmal Taluka, he said.
Apart from this, a 19-year-old man sank after he was swept away in Nullah who overflowed at Mouza Bhamb at Mahagaon Taluka from the district on Thursday.
In an accident related to other rain, a 26-year-old woman and two cows at her house were on Mahagaon Taluka.
