200 ‘stolen car’ found in a month

Letter: In the investigation of the first major economic violations, the Celusal Violation Cell (EOC) City Police restored 200 cars worth 4.5 crore sold by the defendant after hiring this as a taxi.
Police said a total of 264 cars were stolen.
The police now accelerate the process to ensure that legitimate owners regain their vehicles.
Stolen cars have recovered in less than a month.
The police arrested the defendant Ketul Parmar from botad on June 7, two days after the violation was registered with him.
During the investigation, the police identified the people who bought this stolen car and recovered it.
Vehicles are sold in various Gujarat and Maharashtra districts in less than half the actual price of vehicles.
As far as 22 cars have been returned to their owners and 60 more applications are waiting in court to get the car back.
Amar Patel, a resident of Bhathena, has submitted a complaint in Detection of Crime Branch (DCB) in June 5.
The investigation was handed over to EOC.
In his complaint, Patel accused the fraud continued since September 2020.
The defendant was ordered under various parts of the Indian criminal code including violations of trust, fraud and forging documents.
Parmar and Patel are taxi service providers and have met with each other a few years ago.
They were in the usual touch since then and Parmar told Patel that he got a contract to provide a rental car to a solar company.
Trust him, Patel provides a car for a 10-day trial.
After receiving lease payments, Patel began providing more cars.
Then his friends also began to provide cars to Parmar.
“The victims were paid as high as Rs 20,000 rundering for a car during a pandemic.
Therefore many known patel people are trapped.
Rent paid for a few months and then the defendant disappeared,” the police said.
The police have not arrested other defendants Gopal Jograna, Kalu Bhuva Bharwad, Viram Gagji Bhuva, Bhola Sindhav, Vijay Chosla, Amit Satiya, Firoz aka Hukam Shaikh, Ishwar Chosla Malakiya and Sanjay Bharvad.
“The accusation of taking the original RTO registration certificate and insurance paper from the owner.
They then use them to sell cars,” said V K Parmar, assistant commissioner of the police, EOC.
“Restoring a car is our priority because the victims come from poor financial backgrounds.
If they don’t get a vehicle back, they will be in a bigger problem.
Therefore, we restore the car based on top priority,” said Ajay Tomar, Commissioner City police.
